Koostik is dedicated to making well designed and finely crafted wood accessories exclusively for Apple’s iPhone and iPad devices.  All of our products are made by hand in America.  Like Apple, we began developing and making our products in a garage workshop.  Our name derives from the principal of passive acoustic amplification which is employed in the design of our works.  

Our goal is to express simplicity in what we make.  Using fine wood timbers such as Walnut, Cherry, Makore, and Maple; our products lend a natural feel to the crisp technological beauty of Apple’s devices.  By design, every Koostik product passively amplifies the volume output of the external speaker on your iPhone or iPad.  Passive amplification uses no electricity to amplify volume.  Instead, the principals of acoustics we explore in our designs give an impressive organic boost to the volume output of your favorite Apple products.  

Koostik pieces have been featured in many national magazines, on hundreds of blogs and web sites, and have been shipped to over 30 countries worldwide.  We have enjoyed a great deal of success as the “go to” source for truly unique gifts for users of iPhone and iPad devices.  Each piece is carefully hand crafted and finished to create objects of elegance, natural beauty, and amazing function.  

Our products are not intended as replacements for your home audio system.  Rather, they are  personal accessories for your iPhone or iPad ideally suited for use in smaller, more intimate settings.  The Original Koostik has the capacity to fill a room with your favorite tunes, but not in the same way that your home stereo might.  Think of it more like a pleasant background presence that still allows for conversation.  Likewise, our Mini Koo product creates a fine background ambiance that can fill a room; but is also fine in small close settings.  The Koostik for iPad and Kov products are specifically designed for close personal use, such as your desk, or in your kitchen while you prepare meals.  Our smaller devices also are ideally portable so you can take them along wherever you go.
